Vietnam Veterans Day Memorial Service
18 August each year
On Vietnam Veterans Day, the VVAA conducts a memorial service at the Shrine of Remembrance commencing at 1200 noon. All Vietnam Veterans, partners, families and members of the public are welcome to attend. The RAAFVVA marches behind the Association banner.

Post-Service Function
As with Anzac Day, members and families are able to lunch with colleagues at an appropriate nearby venue.

Heads Up for the 18th of August!!
The Melbourne programme for the 18th of August Vietnam Veterans Day for the RAAFVVA is as under:
0900 - 1100: Gunfire Breakfast Northern Forecourt.
1030 - 1045: Assemble at RAAFVVA Plaque adjacent to Garden of Reflection for a short ceremony! A few words from Vice President Gareth Davis (as President is overseas). Wreaths then laid including private contributions.
1115 - 1130: Form up on main concourse.
1200 - 1300: March off and Commemorative service. Should finish around 1300
Lunch Palmerston Hotel (booked for 50 so bookings are essential). For new members, follow the Banner to the lunch venue.
