DEDICATION OF THE RAAFVVA PLAQUE
The Reverend George G Ashworth OAM
RAAFVVA Chaplain

Reverend George G Ashworth OAM
Reverend George G Ashworth OAM
So, we pause to give thanks to Almighty God in this solemn moment of Remembrance.

The history of dedication is something that has taken place in every century. It was over 900 years before the Birth of Jesus Christ, that King Solomon dedicated the Temple in Jerusalem. And we humans have seen fit to remember that Almighty God has an important place in the lives of every generation

WE WILL REMEMBER THEM:

  • The Australian Flying Corps
  • The Great Conflict of 1939 to 1945
  • The Korean Conflict
  • The War in South-East Asia
  • The Vietnam Conflict

This plaque will be a lasting Remembrance of all RAAF Personnel who gave their lives in the Service of their Country.

At times like this we are reminded of the words of Jesus, when He said, “Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”.

Let us Pray:

Almighty God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ Who has given us the Holy Spirit that we might live lives worthy of your great sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary.

We thank You for the interest in each one of us, and especially your promise – “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

We dedicate this special memorial plaque to honour all RAAF Personnel who paid the supreme Sacrifice in the Service in Vietnam and we honour all members who have served their Country.

We commend into Your care all RAAF personnel serving today.

In Jesus Name we pray. Amen
